This happened September 5:

Radio on, then heard a lound, sharp crackling sound and then no sound. Thought it was the station at first with some glitch, but then, when I tried to switch stations, no sound either.

Stopped the car and started again, thinking maybe it was just a glitch of some kind, but no change. Was able a couple of times initially to change between FM and Sirius options (no subscription, and I get the usual message for that), but after a couple times it's now stuck on Sirius. Audio Volume works, it shows its level, but no sound. All the other buttons on the radio (options, browse, A/V, USB, etc) work, but no sound. Only AM/FM not able to choose at all

Also, when I touch any other button on the console (AC, DEF, RDEF, etc) there isn't the usual kind of 'blip' sound to let me know it's been touched. There is sound, however, when I start the car and my seatbelt isn't on (that chiming type noise). Are there sounds that are on a different wiring circuit than the speakers? If so I didn't know that.

The car runs fine, but I don't know if this could lead to a bigger problem. There are times where I'll get a "NAV SD CARD FAULT" and the Nav won't work, and the radio won't even be able to be turned off, and the stations won't change, etc. But that always has seemed to be something about SYNC updating, and when I stop and start the car everything goes to normal.

Anyway, does anyone have any ideas as to what could have happened? Maybe if I can point the mechanic in the right direction I might be able to save some cost for diagnosis time.

I think that's all. If there are any questions please feel free to let me know.

And besides, has my aforementioned NAV CARD FAULT issue happened with anyone else?
