- 2012 Fusion SEL 3.0
Hey all. I am attempting to help a friend out with his fusion. It’s a 2012 with the 3.0L. The issue is when you first cold crank the car you can shift into any gear and it pulls for about 1000 feet and then it’s like it slips out of drive and into neutral. You can turn it off and back on and it will pull for about 50 feet before again slipping back to neutral. It will allow you to crank and drive only 3-4 times before it just stops. I’ve checked the fluid and it’s where it’s supposed to be and I recently did a fluid change in the transmission. No flush just pulled the drain plug and refilled with clean fluid. There was no metal flakes or shavings in the fluid. Any help would be appreciated. No codes showing except occasionally a generator field circuit low code pops up.
